Hwang Yunsang Job Placement Agency ("the Agency") processes personal data received through New World Job (newworldjob.com) as follows, under the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and related laws. The Korean version prevails if the two versions differ.
1. Data we collect
- Foreign job seeker registration: name, phone, messenger ID (optional), email (optional), nationality, visa status, stay expiry date (optional), Korean level, preferred job and region, work experience (optional), start date (optional), message (optional)
- Korean job seeker registration: name, phone, email (optional), preferred job, duties and region, experience and licenses (optional), work type and start date (optional)
- Employer request: company name, contact person, phone, email (optional), workplace location, industry and hiring conditions
- Information checked during consultation for the legal registers: job seeker's date of birth, employer's representative and business registration number, and other items under Article 26 of the Enforcement Rule of the Employment Security Act
We do not collect resident registration, passport or alien registration numbers through the forms.
2. Purposes
- Receiving requests, placement consultation, introductions and contact
- Keeping the employer register and the job seeker and placement register required by the Employment Security Act
- Information about visa work, if you ask us to handle it
3. Retention
Kept for 2 years from the date of the request and then deleted (record-keeping period under Article 26 of the Enforcement Rule of the Employment Security Act). Registers about an introduction are kept for the same period.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We do not provide personal data beyond the purposes above. Before introducing a job seeker to an employer, we tell the job seeker who will receive which data and why, and provide it only with the job seeker's consent. We may provide data to public authorities where the law requires.
5. Processors and transfer abroad
- Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): website operation and storage of requests
- Resend (Plusdocs, Inc., USA): notification emails about new requests
These processors are located outside Korea, and request data is transmitted and stored through the internet when you submit a form. If you do not want your data transferred abroad, please apply by phone or in person instead.
6. Your rights
You may ask at any time to access, correct, delete or stop processing your data. Contact us below and we will act without delay. Registers that the law requires us to keep may not be deleted during the retention period.
7. Deletion
Data is deleted without delay when the retention period ends or the purpose is fulfilled. Electronic files are deleted so they cannot be recovered, and printouts are shredded or incinerated.
8. Security
Requests can only be viewed on an administrator-authenticated screen, and data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
